The West Ocean String Quartet make only three appearances in Ireland this year - Tuesday 24th July in Glenveagh Castle, Donegal, and the following evening, Wednesday 25th July, in the Market Place Theatre, Armagh, as part of the John Hewitt Summer School.
On Wednesday 28th November, at St Canice's Cathedral, Graignamanagh, Co. Kilkenny, we will be joined by Maighread Ní Dhomhnaill for Oileán na Marbh
Their latest album, The Guiding Moon, has received most favourable reviews around the globe - USA, Canada, France, Japan as well as at home. Don't miss either of these unique opportunities this summer. The quartet are currently preparing their next album, due for release late 2008, to coincide with a major international series of concerts, and appearances in Ireland will be few over the next 18 months.
